Devil-Ball Scramble
Threesomes will be given 3 pink golf balls. On each hole, a player is chosen to play the pink ball and record her NET score. This will rotate from players A, B, and C throughout the round. The remaining two players play a scramble format. At each hole's completion, the team score is the combined total of the pink ball plus the scramble score. At the completion of the round, teams will deduct 1 stroke from their total for every pink ball they return to the Pro Shop.
Step-Aside Scramble
ABCD pairings. All players hit a tee shot, and the best drive is selected. Players will never play two consecutive shots on the same holes as the player whose shot is selected will step aside for the next shot. The process continues until the ball is holed.
String Me Along
Foursomes will compete over 9 holes in a modified scramble format. Each team will be given a length of string and a pair of scissors and have the opportunity to improve their score throughout the round. Teams use whatever part of the string they want to improve movement of their ball into the hole and must cut off that section of the string when used. The string part is not counted in their scoring, hence improving their team score for the hole.
Labor or Love?* *9/3/25
When you play golf is it a labor of love or just labor? As you play your round look for the American Flag to mark the tee you will all play from. Will you be faced with a “love” of playing from a forward tee, or will it be “labor” and you must work hard to reach the green?
Par 3
Threesomes will count 2 best balls per hole. The golf course for the 9-hole event will be set up for each hole to be played as a Par 3.
Scramble
Scramble is one of the most common formats for golf tournaments. The game is played by a team of 3 or 4 players, where each member hits their ball throughout the match. Team captains choose the best shot from the group's shots and then move all other balls to the “best ball” position. They continue this until the ball is holed.
Shamble
A Shamble is a type of golf tournament format in which a team of 3 or 4 golfers selects the one best drive among them after teeing off, then all three or four play their own golf balls from that position into the hole.
Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda* “Niner Style” *10/01/25
Threesome/foursomes will play a 9-hole event. Every player will receive one mulligan on each of their 9 holes. This mulligan or “do-over” may be played anywhere on the hole (tee shot, fairway shot or putt). If a player chooses not to utilize their mulligan on a hole, this mulligan does not carry over to the next hole. Reminder: if you choose to take your mulligan, then you HAVE to use your mulligan shot.
